what movie?

after M suggested an idea of "everyone doing the same movie posters", it helps to clarify the direction of this poster thing. But the question now is "What movie are we going to do?"

burned, but ready for reborn

the week was crazy, between the projects at work and project 30 I actually ran out of creative juices. But as I was in Blockbuster today I got a bit upset by the ugly dvd covers where some of the movies had some nice posters when they were in theatres (like the latest movie 300. When I was email some friends about the idea of "redesign your favorite movie's poster", I saw an Miller's Chill commerical and Jesnie suggests that we should do a beer commerical instead (or not). Man, ain't we creative?

My idea

At the very beginning of this project, I wanted to do 30 posters myself. OF Course it is not logical BUT (I think it was) possible, I just don't have enough time since all the movings and overtime at work. As of yesterday, I was just drafting a few ideas. I am going to do 3 posters for this (yes, I said one per designer before). One about graffit (I live in the city now and I was born in a city), One about color (that should be the funniest one), One about media (I am taking a shot at all those graphic softwares). So far I am about 20% done, tonight will be a fun night finishing the rest.

p.s. Did you see that Kool-Aid poster? Check it out: http://www.flickr.com/groups/435752@N23/

I am excited

Over the weekend I found out that there were quite a few people drafting and really working on the posters and I have seen a few drafts as well. Honestly, it feels like days before Christmas now that I am just waiting to receive my presents. But trust me, this is probably better than Christmas.

Intellectual property, and Simpsons

Apparently, there is an ad agency claimed that it is their idea to bring "Kwik-E-Mart" to reality by transforming 7-11 to a Springfield grocery store. Here is the NPR link: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12056331
